AMPLIFIED 2015	John 14:13 "And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son. [Ex 3:14]

Bible Question (short): Wishful praying?

Question (full): In John 14:13-14 Jesus says "And I will do whatever you ask in my name.......You may ask for anything in my name, and I will do it." And in John 15:7 He says, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you." NIV

I understand and believe that the Lord hears all our prayers, but answers them according to our best interests, not always what we "wish" for. So, these verses are confusing to me.
