AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 13:33 "Little children, I am with you [only] a little longer. You will look for Me and, as I told the Jews, so I tell you now, 'Where I am going, you are not able to come.' [John 8:21] |
Bible Question (short): We cannot come to God? |
Question (full): John 7:33 Therefore Jesus said, "For a little while longer I am with you, then I go to Him who sent Me." Obviously, where Jesus was going was God our Father. Then, in John 13:33, why did He say, "Where I am going, you cannot come?" That means we cannot come to God. Does death or the rapture bring believers to God the Father immediately? Don't we say in a funeral the dead person is with the Lord now? What did Jesus mean when saying we cannot come where He went? |
