Bible Note: Hi FytRobert, I believe that you have received a good understanding from your studying. I gladly stand with you as part of the flock of this Shepherd that we love. May I use what you have written to show how I view God? I believe that you will agree with me here. You wrote of the "one and the same Person/Spirit/God". I would write it "one and the same Man/Spirit/God". These three Persons are one; a unity, or one essence. God is Spirit, Spirit is Spirit, and this Man was claiming to be Spirit. That is why they picked up stones to stone Him. He was making God out to be a Man. The world has to decide if this Spirit was blaspheming when He said, "I am the Man/ of Spirit" (paraphrasing John 10:36). "I am the Son/of God. They were stoning Him (this Spirit) for blasphemy, because He, being a *Man, made God/ out to be a Man. 1) You are correct in looking at the Scriptures in context and I have come to interpret John 10 as talking about the Good Shepherd. John 10:2, "But *He who enters by the door is a *Shepherd of the sheep." 2) I would like to talk about John 10:16, John 8:47, and Micah 2:12 with you later. From the heart, Ray |
