Bible Note: Bless You,MrsB. You've hit the nail on the head when you said our finite minds cannot comprehend. Our feeble minds are so made that there is a need to quantify everything in order to comprehend it. We measure distance in inches, and miles, and in order to measure space, we use light years. This is why we cannot understand God as omnipresent. He is immeasurable and hard to contain in our limited brain. A concept such as three seperate entities being the same one create a short circuit in our logic process. Human knowledge is faulty, therefore misleading, and potentially dangerous. This is why it is hard not to question the attributes of the Trinity and exactly why we should refrain from doing so. We have a tendency to take things out of context and distort the meaning behind the message. This is where we are to become "overcomers!" Let me take you to Rev 3:21 where we are told,"He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with me in my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne." What we can understand from this is that Christ was bothered by the faults of the flesh, yet He overcame them and became more than a conqueror. So if we conform to Christ in His struggles, then He will conform us to Him in His glory and we shall be with Him in His throne; His throne of judgment at the end of the world, His throne of glory to all eternity. Faithfully, Tim |
