Subject: I would like to reply to Timothy Paul. |
Bible Note: Another important note on Rev 4:2, is that the apostle saw "in his spirit" Read in context, 4:1 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." 4:2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. It would be wrong to analyze what the spirit is capable of by comparing it with what the flesh knows. Revelation is often described as symbolic, and the culture was very different, so we must keep that in mind as well. Thank you for your reply, I welcome all. Tim |
