Bible Question: is jesus god |
Bible Answer: I assume that you meant God (capital G). Yes, He is. The word Trinity was coined by later Christians to describe the Triune nature of God. (Three Whos and one What.) There are other passages that state this clearly, including the OT (see Isaiah 9:6. Since the scriptures are God's revelation of His nature, I think of this as an important study. In theology the study of the nature of God is called "theology proper." Therefore, as a regular practice, I color the references to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with green, yellow, and pink respectively. This includes the various pronouns. As I have done this over the years, it is really amazing how the Triune Nature of God makes itself clear throughout scripture... sometimes by making it difficult to decide which color to use! :-) |
