Bible Question (short): check "nets" and "net" in Luk 5:4-5- |
Question (full): Can you assist me in understanding the NASB translation in Luke 5:4-5...Jesus is asking Peter to drop his "nets" (plural) in verse 4; then in verse 5 Peter told the Lord he would drop his "net" singular. The Greek Bible shows the Lord's request as plural and Peter's response on the nets as singular. Other translations show both as "nets" as well. I still like the NASB, but the KJV shows plural/singular on the nets. Just curious |
