Subject: First in a tomb - important? |
Bible Note: Greetings RJJ- thanks for your reply. As I have been mulling this over, I came across these verses: 'The priest who is the highest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil has been poured and who has been consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes; nor shall he approach any dead person, nor defile himself even for his father or his mother;Lev 21:10-11 Psalm 16:10 "For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo (see) decay." "And he took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever lain." Luke 23:53 Since Jesus is our Great High Priest, does it seem feasible that these verses provide the reason that His body was placed in a "clean" or never-used tomb? mommapbs |
