AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 22:36 Then He said to them, "But now, he who has a money belt is to take it along, and also his [provision] bag, and he who has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. |
Bible Question: luke 22v36 - would this not contradict Jesus' reputation as been a total pasifist, who would not resort to violence no matter what? If so what is the significance of him telling his followers to get themselves a sword and then himself taking two swords from his deciples and going up to the mount of olives to pray to God about this 'cup' he now has to bear? |
Bible Answer: Greetings SRN! If you do a "Search" for 'nonviolence' or 'sidearm', then you will see a little more about this topic, either way you want to go.. Blessings to you, Nolan |
