AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 22:32 but I have prayed [especially] for you [Peter], that your faith [and confidence in Me] may not fail; and you, once you have turned back again [to Me], strengthen and support your brothers [in the faith]." |
Bible Question: John 21:15 Jesus asks Peter 3 times to do 3 separate things 1. Feed my lambs. 2. Take care of my sheep. 3. Feed my sheep. I believe I'm on the right track but what do these mean? |
Bible Answer: Peter was told to strengthen his brothers after he was converted. Peters faith failed when he denyed Jesus three times. After the resurection, peter was told to feed his sheep. Sheep symbolizes his deciples. He was to feed them the word of faith so they would be strengthened in the SPIRIT.In the book of acts we see that Peter was used the most to bring the Jews to Jesus. |
