AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 22:32 but I have prayed [especially] for you [Peter], that your faith [and confidence in Me] may not fail; and you, once you have turned back again [to Me], strengthen and support your brothers [in the faith]." |
Bible Question (short): "when thou art converted" |
Question (full): In Luke 22:32 Jesus says to Peter: "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." Does the phrase "when thou art converted" imply that Peter was non-converted at this time? Secondly, if Peter himself was not a convert to Christ Jesus, would that mean that at this time none of the other disciples were converts either at this juncture? |
