Bible Question:
I went to a non-denom church on "Communion Sunday" that said if you were not right with God, please refrain from participating in the breaking of bread. A denominational church said All were welcome, -except those without a right relationship with God. Q: If someone had un-confessed sin, would it be wrong for them to do break bread in remembrance of our Savior's sacrifice for our redemption? |
Bible Answer: Dear Keliy: It sounds very much to me that the non denominational and the denominational Church were both saying the same thing, only just putting the words in a different order. When we partake in The Lord's Super, we are certainly supposed to have a conversation with God, search ourselves, ask God to search us, and of course to the best of our knowledge, make sure we are not doing this with unconfessed sin. I personally can't imagine someone having communion with God without doing this. In short, yes, it would be wrong. God bless John |
