Bible Question:
Another question on this verse! Re: "with whom He is pleased." What is the object of God's pleasure in this verse? As far as I can see there are two possibilities. Is it His "peace?" (meaning Jesus - "You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased." Luke 3:22) Or is it mankind? Could it be both? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Mommapbs! I believe that there is only one answer: Jesus! There have been some in our history (people of Israel and Christians) who have pleased God (beginning with Abel). But none have given up more or been more obedient than Jesus (Philippians 2:6-11). Jesus placed Himself just bellow the angels to rescue us and bring us back to the Father! God Bless! |
