Bible Question: What does the Bible say about why children are born retarded? |
Bible Answer: jadedust, Whether mentally or physically retarded, they are destined to have an easier time accepting Christ and receiving eternal life. Spiritually, we are all retarded. We were designed with a spiritual nature that is missing until we accept Jesus. Adam and Eve lost their glorious nature the day that they sinned. Also, retarded children by definition will always have a dependency that gives them a meek and humble nature that the rich and independed of us lack. So we are all born retarded. Luke 18:15 Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16But Jesus called them to Him and said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 17Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. Luke 18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
