Bible Note: Nolan: The Christian message in the Left Behind series is anything but subtle. The authors just come right out with it -- repeatedly. Many direct Bible quotations, some of them lengthy, appear throughout every book in the series. The authors just come right out with it and lay it on the line. One character, Tsion Ben Judah, repeatedly tells it like it is in the Bible in plain English. He gives us lengthy quotes from Revelation and then explains what each quote means and its fulfillment. Not only that, but God's plan of salvation is presented in its completeness many times throughout the series. There is enough Gospel in certain individual books to show anyone their need of a Savior, God's provision, and what is required to receive the salvation God offers. The accounts of not a few conversions are given in detail. The series is about as subtle as the world-wide earthquake prophesied in Revelation and described in detail in one of the books.
