Bible Question:
NC, You wrote, "before a man can seek God, God must first have sought the man". Doesn't God seek ALL men? (1 Timothy 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.) (The person that I've been talking with believes in single predestination) |
Bible Answer: Huron In an effort not to start another war. Let me say there are two schools of thought. One which believes God only selects certain people for salvation. The other believes God offers salvation to all. Neither side can prove their view to the satisfaction of the other side and the subject has been debated off and on for thousands of years and very hotly over the last 500 or so. It has also been the topic of much debate on this forum of which few of us have any interest of seeing reopened. Since neither side has what the other feels is conclusive proof the debates rages on. In an effort to preserve peace I ask that what ever side you hold you continue to hold it and should you and who ever wants to debate it how about doing it off forum. EdB |
