Subject: What type of baptism is this? |
Bible Note: Rom 6:3-4 and Mark 10:38-39 speak of baptisim and being baptised in Christ. The word Baptise comes from the Hebrew-Aramaic word Baptizo which has same meaning as to dip as in dipping a garment in a dye to color it or to sink something under water. As many Christian beliefs explain the act of baptism as the total immersion in water as represetative of standing you are live, death buried as was Christ the immersion under water, to resurrection raised up out of the water. So my understanding from translation is the baptise is total immersion. Hope this helps. Yours in Christ, Dave Lusk |
