Bible Question (short): Why does God allow world hunger? |
Question (full): Around a month ago, I had an atheist ask me a good question that I didn't know the answer to. He asked why a loving God would allow millions of children to die of world hunger. I tried telling him a few guesses I had and told him not to focus on what God doesn't do, but try focussing on what he does do. Today, I was reading in Luke chapter 12. When I got to verse 24, the question returned to my mind. In this verse, Jesus talks about how God even provides for the ravens and then says we are more valuable than birds. It almost sounds like a promise of provision. Why then does God not provide for the millions who are starving to death? |
