Bible Question:
In Luke 10:28 Jesus tells the man "do this and you will live" referring to the two great commandments. I confess I have not studied this forum and this is the first question I have asked, so don't know the general doctrine followed (oh, so often we make our answers fit what we have been told is true, ain't it?) At any rate, should one apply this answer to everyone (before and after the cross)? And how strict is it applied? If one has a desire to do what is right to honor God, but fails, shall he live, or does one who sins miss the mark already? Has ANYONE done ANYTHING with ALL their heart and soul etc...ever? |
Bible Answer: If you could keep those commandments then you would be God, because nobody can keep all 10 the the commandments there whole life. Have you ever lied, stolen, lusted (witch Jesus says is adultry)etc. Those two commandment sum up all ten. If you love your neighbor as yourself you won't lie to them. and so on... |
