Bible Question (short): Is the AKJV the true word of God? |
Question (full): Thank you for the welcome, Lionhart! I appreciate your scripture references. If you don't mind , I will post the verses here in the NASV and KJV. I hope someday to purchase a parallel Bible using these two versions. I had mentioned in my profile that I was saved in a Fundamentalist Church. I have learned many things new to me in the past while. What is your stand on the KJV bible being the only true Word of God? I am interested in hearing both sides of the issue, now that I know what the Fundamental stand is. I want to be firm in my Faith even if it means lonliness and self-doubt. I am sure that the benefits of Following Jesus far outweigh the discomforts of persecution. Pray for me please. Your sister in Christ. Malley KJV Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. NASV Mat 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. KJV Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to (his) purpose. NASV Rom 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to (His) purpose. KJV Phl 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. NASV Phl 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. KJV 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. NASV 2Ti 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. KJV 2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. NASV 2Ti 3:12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. |
