Bible Question:
Matthew 16:15-18 i have never seen a demon-possessed person to my knowledge, and have never seen a demon cast out. i have only heard someone speak in tounges once, and i think he was faking it. i have heard of snake-handling ministers, but anyone can learn to handle a snake. if you drink a deadly dose of poison, you will die. prove otherwise. i have never heard of someone drinking lots of poisin and not dying because they believed in God. i have never seen a healing, and the stories of healings that i have heard could have been faked. where are the signs? does anyone believe? |
Bible Answer: blackbox: I have seen and addressed demon-possessed. I have seen, experienced and participated in healings. I have seen many people speak in tongues. I believe God grants a tongue to a new Believer, and is a personal communication between the Believer and Him. I have seen the Gift of Tongues and the Gift of Interpretation. I have also seen many cases of tongues being faked. I think it is very obvious. I believe "snake-handling" as a religious event is pagen. I believe (as was the case with Paul) if a Believer has an experience with a snake - or injests something poisonous - it will have no effect. I believe every word of the Bible is true and holy - and I believe that Jesus Christ atoned for every single hurt, sickness and sin with His precious Blood on the Cross - every single one. The Book of Hebrews discusses Jesus as our High Priest before the Father. He is the reality of what was imitated in the Tabernacle of the Old Testament. I don't believe in "testing" Him. I have been a fan of the Amplified Bible for nearly 30 years for one reason - the Amplified Bible is the only one that defines "believe" as "cling to, trust in, rely on". Walking every day with Him - and believing every word as true - He will bring experiences to you giving you the opportunity to "believe". Demons, healings, snakes and poison all become part of the scenery. In my opinion - well worth the journey. Don't pursue signs, pursue The Lord. The signs are a part of His world - and others will "believe" because they will see Him in you. |
