| Bible Question: Hello,I was a little puzzled after I read about another miracle Jesus had performed by casting the demons into the pigs. My question is why did the people want him to leave the region? Surely they recognize His power and now that this is a man if God.Right /Wrong? Thank You for enlightening me. |

Bible Answer: Dear Laquita, Welcome to the forum. The answer lies in V33 where you may see that the swine herd was a property of someone lived in Gadarenes (a gentile city). We may surmise that seeing the destruction of his property (the swines) by Jesus, the owner and the people there did not want Him to further cause them troubles. They most likely did not concern who Jesus is but their own properties. I hope this helps. Shalom Azure |
