Bible Note: Hi Brian, Your theology is running contrary to Paul’s! Are those you speak of truly believers according to Ephesians, if they aren’t then they are not as the word implies, Christians? Ephes. 1:12-14 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. [13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. If they truly believed and trusted in Jesus as the Christ then they are sealed. One of you two is wrong and I think I would put my money on what Paul is telling us. Also, just to keep the facts correct, there is never any mention of baptism, as you suggest, in the message of the gospel or were you talking about after effects of salvation? My two cents worth, CDBJ |
