Bible Answer: The question was, "How can we have the assurance that we will go to heaven?" However in regards to your question I will answer by saying, yes, we must have faith supported by works in order to be in God's will. If we say that we have faith but are not willing to obey God, do we really have faith? We cannot say that we are saved and be disobedient to God at the same time.
