Bible Question: Are we suppose to seek sign and wonders of the Lord's favor in our lives and ministries? |
Bible Answer: Hi Cuddle, Let me approach this question by examining some scriptures. Eph 1:3- "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ," He has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing. Not some, or a few, but ALL. These are "spritual" not physical. Do we need to seek more? Eph 1:6- "to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved." (NASB) We are here "accepted in the beloved" (NKJV). Is this not the ultimate favor of the Lord? Phil 3:10- "that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;" This is one of the most profound- and overlooked- scriptures! Paul plea is "to know Him", not seek sign and wonders, but simply to seek after HIM. Do we desire the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ? May this direct your understanding of the question.
