Bible Question:
How is forgiveness related to your health? |
Bible Answer: ThyNanny - One can only guess whether you have spiritual or physical health in mind. In this post I'll address the spiritual aspect and leave the physical to someone else. Jesus made clear in Matthew 6:15 the necessity to forgive others if we wish to be forgiven ourselves. Here's what Jesus said, "But if you do not forgive others (the Greek word is anthropoi) for their transgressions , your heavenly Father will not forgive your transgressions." .... And you may want to note that Jesus in his pattern prayer for His disciples taught them to pray "forgive us our debts as we HAVE FORGIVEN our debtors." (Matthew 6:12). This passage makes it clear that Jesus' disciples must forgive others BEFORE God will forgive them. .... Your user name is rather sprightly and original! --Hank |
