Bible Note: Dear Narnia, Actually the Pharisees were following the oral law that was built upon the law of Moses. Much had been added to the do's and don't's of the original Law - so much so that it was near impossible to get it right. And the Parisees were also out to get praised by men for their piousness and righteousness, they weren't interested in pleasing God. That's why Messiah said to do what they said to do, but not the way in which they did those same things. :-) Cheri Cheri |
