Bible Question:
why is any meat now allowed in the new testament when only certain kind of meat allowed in the old testament? from the book of Leviticus 11:1-47 vs. 1 Corinthians 10:23 |
Bible Answer: celestine6869 If you read Leviticus, you will find all kinds of laws that applied to everything that a Jew would do in his life and in the way he worshipped God. When Jesus came, He fulfilled all the laws so we wouldn't have to. He gave us freedom. When they followed a written code of laws, it kept them separated from the pagans surrounding them. When we follow the Holy Spirit's leading, we are shown as a separate people to those unbelievers around us. Deb |
