Bible Question: Are christians at all responsible for our friends and colleagues becoming christians? I'm sure I have heard someone say, or have read a verse explaining that if a friend of ours died without knowing about Jesus, that it would be on our shoulders. Do you know where this verse is, if it exists? |
Bible Answer: Dear Gemma, We are not responsible that they become Christians. That is something only God can do. People aren't saved by our persuasiveness or skill with words. However, we are responsible for being a light to everyone around us (Matthew 5:16; 2 Corinthians 3:2; 1 Peter 3:15). Please go ahead and look up those verses. Delight in the Lord, Gemma. When you do that, you won't even have to think about the duty to proclaim Him. It'll just come naturally! In Him, Doc |
