Bible Question: Thank you Pastor Glenn, when I read the acct in Acts of Judas falling headlong and bursting open (I pictured him running over a cliff or something), then I remembered the acct in Matt where he went out and hanged himself and it confused me. So I guess my guess is, these verses sound like 2 different stories, so what is the difference and sameness of them? Thanks, Connie |
Bible Answer: I recently read a posting in the archives of the Forum on this subject where the author suggested that "hanging" was not as we know it today; it was impalement. Reading the accounts with this method of death in mind, they are not two separate renditons, but the same event - Luke, being a physician gives more detail! mommapbs |
