Bible Question:
A person I'm working with is seriously investigating Jesus and the truth of the Bible has ask me why Matthew says BOTH thiefs on the cross ridicule Jesus but Luke says something ENTIRELY different(his emphasis). Luke says that one thief realizes who Jesus is... and honors him I've only been studying the bible myself for a couple years, so appreciate any answer or reference to anotheir source (web page etc) for a good/detailed explanation . Thanks |
Bible Answer: Hello Xenoid, I wanted to answer you sooner but I could not remember where I had come across the information relating to your question, It happens this evening, I open “Bullinger's Companion Bible”, and there it is in the Appendixes (page 187), Appendix number “164”. In my opinion, (for whatever that is worth), it gives a very detailed account of the discrepancies and possible solution, along with word studies and history, concerning the “others” crucified with our Lord. I hope you find the information helpful, wordoer |
