Bible Question: What do you do when you feel as if knowone loves you not family not friends and not even God. I feel like I have used up all of my chances to try and make things right with God and I just feel like he has given up on me. I know in my head as a christian that this is not true but in my heart I can no longer feel love for or from anyone or anything. What do I do? |
Bible Answer: Hello, You certainly asked the right question, "What do I do?" In my own life, I have always found that when I feel most loved and loving is when I do something good for someone else. It is in giving love that we receive it. Keep in mind that the love that God talks about is not the love that hollywood talks about. Love comes from giving of yourself to another person. The feeling you get in your heart comes from the giving. It is not something you can work up on your own. If you can do something for someone without expecting something in return, I'm sure you will feel like you are giving your love to that person. And their love will come flowing back to you. That is the way God made us. We are to give love if we are to receive it and we give it by doing something good for someone else. Read all the words of Jesus and He constantly talks about giving your love to others without expecting anything in return. Jesus gave all He had and you see how many peopled loved Him by the number of Apostles and converts He had. I sure hope this helps and I am writing this out of the love I have for you at this moment.
