Bible Question: What do you do when you feel as if knowone loves you not family not friends and not even God. I feel like I have used up all of my chances to try and make things right with God and I just feel like he has given up on me. I know in my head as a christian that this is not true but in my heart I can no longer feel love for or from anyone or anything. What do I do? |
Bible Answer: Dearest Amanda, You can't go by your feelings--feelings are fickle. What you can go by is God's Word. God's Word is true and everything else is subject to change--by that Word. It sounds to me like you are being oppressed--not possessed--but oppressed. It sounds to me like you need to repent and ask God to forgive you for not loving Him and others. We are commanded to love God and to love others: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." This is commanded of us by God. God gave us free will. We choose to obey his commandments. Is there something in your life which you need to confess to God? For, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (I John 1:9) I advise you to seek God in prayer, repent and ask his forgiveness. God has not left you. It sounds like you have left Him. I hope this helps. Love in Christ Jesus, Janae. |
