Bible Question:  In Matthew 18:5 Jesus is talking about children and the high value He places on them. Today there are so many children from broken homes who maybe don't know about salvation through Jesus. On the other hand there are those from good homes who don't get taught about Jesus Christ.
Would these children be saved in God's Eyes?

Bible Answer:  Dear Ken John:

I believe children in broken homes can have or see a greater need for God (Matthew 5:3-4
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."

In many ways, children from good homes where Christ is not taught, may not see their need for a Savior and seek for God as easily as someone from a poor, broken home (The other kids have a nice house, parent who are indifferent to Jesus Christ or not preach salvation by faith, TV, video games, etc.)

Luke 18:25 "For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

It is hard to compare one disadvantaged group to those who appear to be well-off.

Luke 13:4 "Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem?

Luke 13:5 "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."

May we lead all the children to a knowledge of thier Heavenly Father.

Matthew 21:15 "and the children who were shouting in the temple, "Hosanna to the Son of David.."

Col 3:20 Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.

Col 3:21 Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart.

Children are born placed into the family of God's divine choosing for His purpose.

Ps 139:13 For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother's womb.

Ps 139:14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

Ps 139:15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;

Ps 139:16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
