Subject: Tell me who unties them? |
Bible Note: Appleseed, At the leading of the Lord and through prayer I write this. First let me apologize, I jumped on you with both feet and you deserve much better than that. I have no excuse other than to say this topic pushes my buttons. As for the authority of the believer, your right we do have authority in Jesus’ name to command demons to leave a person that desires to be set free. I still must disagree with your statement that we have all of Jesus’ authority. Your right we are in a spiritual battle and we need to know our spiritual weapons Eph 6:10-17 and that Jesus has given us the victory. Your right we can ask and expect to receive if we ask in the name of Jesus, however I must insert a proviso, we can only do this when our asking lines with God’s will, our asking is for the right reasons, our asking is not to satisfy the flesh, and our asking does not conflict with an existing truth. We also have to be aware God may decide in our best interest not to honor that request. After all God is sovereign! I extend this as an attempt to heal the rift between us. I want nothing, but peace between you and I, brothers in the Lord. I jumped on what you said because of the misinformation spread on this subject by so many “big’ name teachers. As I said before I walked in this and I know from where I speak. I have witnessed first hand the results of these teachers, lies, near lies, half truths and near truths. They sound so good, appeals to man’s logic, and their proof text are so convincing. I have had to pick up the piece more than once. Please accept this as a humble apology for my actions, a request for your forgiveness for my sarcasm and downright boorish attitude. I pray for peace and a restored fellowship between us. A humble servant Ed |
