Bible Question: after the death of John the Baptist what did Jesus do? |
Bible Answer: Hello and happy sublime Saturday Poverton, To answer your question you can refer to Matthew 14:6-14. After the decapitation of John the Baptist, his diciples told Jesus of the tragic event. Jesus then left the area privately on a boat to find some quietness from his busy ministry. However, the crowds found out and followed him on the land. But the most striking thing to me in this passage, is that even though Jesus was interrupted in his time of mourning by the crowds, he still had the humility to put himself below them, and thus he had compassion on them and helped even though in our strandards he obviously had the right to turn away and return to his mourning. Well anyway, my mind is kind of skipping around a lot right now, so if that makes any sense... awesome. |
