AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 12:39 But He replied and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation [that is morally unfaithful to God] craves and demands a [miraculous] sign; but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah; [Luke 11:29-32] |
Bible Question: What do you say to a person who says, "It's "harder" to be saved in these last days than it was back in the Bible days, because back in the Bible days, there was alot more miracle, signs and wonders being performed by God and His messengers than it is today. I'm not saying that I have to see signs in order to believe that there is a God, but miracles are a great ways of proving the existence of God. Just look at the incident where Moses parted the red sea, If something like that was to happen today, alot more people would be followers of Christ." |
Bible Answer: Greetings Humility, John 20:29 Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed." Whenever a person places their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, than that is when the REAL miracle happens. And miracles are continuing to happen to this day! Far be it from anyone that we should veil the power of God through "excellency of speech" or any other so called miraculous power. "Belief in Jesus is a miracle produced only by the efficacy of Redemption, ... not by wooing and winning, but by the sheer unaided power of God."
