Bible Question: Luke 12:10 - NLT: Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven." How does one blaspheme the Holy Spirit? Aileen |
Bible Answer: Hello Aileen, You can also find parallel accounts in Matt. 12:31-32 and Mark 3:28-29. Essentially, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is rejection or unbelief. One who refuses to believe cannot be forgiven. So, the "unpardonable sin" would be refusal to believe in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope this helps, BradK |
