Bible Question: Question: A man approached me for marriage that is a SAVED SINCERE CHRISTIAN who did horrible things in his own confession in the past. rape, armed robbery, kidnapping. I was the original person who started this chain and want to know if I can come under headship of a man who in the past has done horrible things. I look at it in terms of eternity...is his sin that has been confessed to God and that he paid for inthis life in prison now released all paid for? I am confused about forgiveable sin and unforgiveable sin. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... James 2:10 "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all." Mommapbs and Tim have provided excellent answers. At this forum we do not give advice counsel and as Tim advised, go to counsel. Read the context of the above verse and know that while our sin may not be as great as his, in the eyes of the law of the land ... one sin, no matter how "small" will keep you out of heaven. The unforgiveable sin is not accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord ... all other sin is forgiven. |
