Subject: What is the meaning of Matthew 11:12? |
Bible Note: Yes it does, Jim. Inductive reasoning in the exegesis of Scripture can prevent much error that is the inevitable harvest of the all-too-common practice of yanking a verse or two out of context and jumping to a hasty guess about what it may mean! And the irony of it is that those who attempt to exegete Scripture in so reckless a fashion are usually the ones who are most vocally adamant in insisting that theirs is the right and the only way possible to interpret a given passage of Scripture. I suppose one could say that those who know the least say it the loudest :-) --Hank |
