Bible Question:
I have a question, regarding the following scripture: 1 John 1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. What is meant by Jesus coming in the flesh. Does it mean, Jesus in human form? Many religions, teachers, leaders, people believe this but they have different views as to what he came as and what he left as. |
Bible Answer: Greetings Noveta - yes, it means what is says, God came in human form. The Divinity of Jesus Christ is the issue here. Jesus tells us "I and the Father ae One' John 10:30. He also declared, "Before Abraham was born, I AM." John 8:58. Other religions do not deny that that Jesus existed. But only Biblical Christianity tells the TRUTH of who He IS, not was but IS. We love and serve a LIVING Savior! So, all those "religions" that claim Jesus was a good man or a prophet or a son of God, deny that He is who HE says He IS - GOD. From your profile you stated "There is not much else to my life" May God show you that there is MUCH to your life with Him. Jesus said,"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." John 10:10 This means right here and NOW, not when you die! I suspect you've been "robbed" for too long! I urge you to "Delight yourself in the Lord!" (Ps 37:4) Blessings, mommapbs |
