Bible Question (short): Faith not strong enough ? |
Question (full): I know a person who is trying really hard to do whats right. He keeps going back to things that God doesnt like. He has experienced God and felt for the holy spirit, but still commits sin knowing that its a sin, but still really doesnt want to. Its like there isnt enough willpower. In Mat 13:1-9, Jesus is telling a story about how people receive the gospel differently. Might it be that this person is not in the last group ? And there is simply no hope for him ? Also in Mat 7:13-14 he talks about how few people walk the narrow road. This person even trys to talk about Jesus and admit that he belives in him, even though hes ahsamed of it. but always seems to end up doing things that he deep inside doesnt really want to be doing. So my question really is. Can a person know that he just doesnt have what it takes to be a true christian? But still would really want to ? I appologize if this question doesnt belong here, but i think after reading some of the responses here that there is somone who can answer this. |
