Subject: Years of Silence? |
Bible Note: Thanks for that insight Makarios! I am interested in the possible comparison between the time prior to the First Advent and the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. In the first, the "silence" of God (and the ignorace of Israel?) with His people can be contrasted with the prolific spread of the Gospel (and the ignorance of Israel!)in these last 400 years! It was about 400 years ago when a small group of Christians sought to worship God as HE wanted rather than follow the prescribed pattern as set forth by the "state" religious leaders. So they left their homeland and ventured into the New World. To them, Jesus was worth it all, and many paid for their desire to honor Him with their very lives. Living in the USA, many of us are ignorarnt of our many brothers and sisters across this globe who are still choosing to do the same, as these early "pilgrims" did, today! Anything to add to my comparison? Blessings, Mommapbs |
