AMPLIFIED 2015 | Malachi 2:16 "For I hate divorce," says the LORD, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with wrong and violence," says the LORD of hosts. "Therefore keep watch on your spirit, so that you do not deal treacherously [with your wife]." |
Subject: Is it just? |
Bible Note: Ray ... is there no recourse at all for a battered wife? As kalos pointed out recently and I have in the past, abuse should not be tolerated - and dealt with legally. However, the Bible doesn't allow divorce for abuse, or any other wrong either party does (not) do, except for divorce (Matt 18). While the husband may not show love - she must not stop .... or can she? |
