Bible Note: Hi Searcher, Once again, you sidestep the issue. The question is, is there no recourse at all for a battered wife? You say that love must prevail. What love do you see in the husband who beats his wife? I would rather that the love that the wife has for life itself should be what prevails. The husband who abuses is not showing any love so how can it, being lacking, prevail? The battered wife can not know whether the husband will change and cease his abuse.
