AMPLIFIED 2015 | Zephaniah 2:9 "Therefore, as I live," declares the LORD of hosts, The God of Israel, "Moab will in fact become like Sodom And the sons of Ammon like Gomorrah, A land possessed by nettles and salt pits, And a perpetual desolation. The remnant of My people will plunder them And what is left of My nation will inherit them [as their own]." |
Bible Question: Are the "remnant of My people" and the "remainder of My nation" the same? |
Bible Answer: Hi Mommapbs, I believe that it was common that to put emphasis on something the same word was repeated (truly, truly I say to you...). In this case the words are different but have the same meaning, so I believe the object was the same...emphasis. Holy, Holy, Holy is to take the emphasis to the Nth degree. John |
