NASB | Habakkuk 1:13 Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You can not look on wickedness with favor. Why do You look with favor On those who deal treacherously? Why are You silent when the wicked swallow up Those more righteous than they? |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Habakkuk 1:13 Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You cannot look favorably on wickedness. Why then do You look favorably On those who act treacherously? Why are you silent when the wicked (Chaldean oppressors) destroy Those more righteous than they? |
Bible Question: Let me ask it this way. When i witness to one about Christ, he may think that god hates him. I want to say that God does not hate him but hates what he is doing. The sin he is living by not giving his life to Christ. How do i relate in scripture that God does not hate him but hates the sin. Does that make sense. Appreciate your help. |
Bible Answer: Hi, LovemyLord7... Spreading the gospel is always grounded in communicating the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Apply the Law (Romans 2:17-21) to to the one with whom you are speaking. People need to understand that they will stand be for a holy God (Habakkuk 1:13). The gospel remedy means nothing to people that do not understand the great need they have (Isaiah 64:6). When you tell a person that God loves them, nowadays they shrug and say, "So? What's not to love?" In Him, Doc |
