NASB | Habakkuk 1:13 Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You can not look on wickedness with favor. Why do You look with favor On those who deal treacherously? Why are You silent when the wicked swallow up Those more righteous than they? |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Habakkuk 1:13 Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You cannot look favorably on wickedness. Why then do You look favorably On those who act treacherously? Why are you silent when the wicked (Chaldean oppressors) destroy Those more righteous than they? |
Bible Question: If God is holy and therefore cannot stand to be in the presense of sin which is why we need to be reborn, how come God still talked to Satan as in Job? |
Bible Answer: Hello Norrie Scripture does not say that God cannot stand to be in the presence of sin. Rather He cannot look upon it approvingly. Because Satan is a spiritual being, he has an avenue of approach to God when allowed. Steve |
