Bible Question: Is it wrong to get a tattoo? I know in the old testament that it says not to, but we aren't still bound by the laws of the old testament. It would be a tasteful tattoo. |
Bible Answer: We are not under the law, but now we are at a higher place, or supposed to be.Jesus said,"you heard it said that if you sleep with your neighbors wife you are guilty of adultry, but I say that whosoever lusts in his heart is guilty of adultry in his heart." Paul said that if we walk after the spirit we sould not break the law, as walking after the spirit is a higher walk than being under the law. The las restrained us from doing what was in our heart(what we desired), under grace is that we dont desire these things anymore(we have the new heart)because we love Jesus and want to please Him. The simple fact that you asked this question is proof that your conscience is telling you not to get one. I do not have to ask if it is okay for me to drink milk. Bro. Jay |
