Bible Question:
i know in Romans it says Homosexuality is not recognized, but it also says in the bible that God loves you for who and what you are, and loves you no matter what? Pls advise |
Bible Answer: Friend, You are miss lead. The Bible does not say "God loves you for "who and what" you are, and loves you no matter what" He does love you even if you choose to go to hell. His love for you was expressed in a way to keep you from going there. Jesus willfully died on a cross, in your place, so you don't have to go. and if you are going to use Jesus to get to heaven, He requires repentance, humility, and obedience. After all, he is the LORD, Jesus Christ. The Bible does say John3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Verse 36 ...and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” God in his love gave you free choice. Duet 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that you ... may live; The fact is people who willfully sin, are doomed for judgement. There no longer remains a sacrifice for sin. Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, Romans 1:27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[a] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, The King James version uses the word reprobate instead of debased. (I use the New King James) The english dictionary defines reprobate as : Rejected by God and without hope of salvation. It is good that you are asking for answers. It means you have not totally lost your knowledge of God. There is hope. I pray that you will acknowledge and accept God's truth about sin. Humble yourself before our loving God, confess your sin, and repent. In addition, God will forgive your sins and cleanse you from all iniquity. If not then Hebrews 10:27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[e] says the Lord.[f] And again, “The LORD will judge His people.”[g] 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Find a good church that will help you out of your sin and into God's mercy and grace. Not a church that does not expect you to change. James Chapter 1 Helped me win over temptation with patience, and I rejoice because the trials will make me stronger, Every time I resist temptation it makes me stronger. Better prepared for the next urge to fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Satan is a liar. We can overcome. James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Praise the Lord, Jesus Christ because the joy that follows is beyond any thing the flesh can do. Grace then Peace jcdm |
